DestinaView ("the app", "we") is a trip itinerary tool run by Wilson S Soto. This page explains what happens to the information you put into it. The short version: your trips stay on your own device, and we don't have accounts, ads or tracking.

What you enter stays on your device

Trips, stops, costs, notes, packing lists and photos you add are saved in your web browser, on the device you are using. They are not sent to us, and we can't see them. Because of that, we also can't recover them for you. If you clear your browser's website data, switch devices or lose the device, the trips are gone unless you made a backup with "Back up all trips".

What we collect

• We don't ask you to create an account, and we don't collect your name, email or payment details in the app.
• We don't use advertising or analytics trackers.
• Our website host receives basic technical information whenever a page is requested, such as your IP address, browser type and the page asked for. Hosts keep this in ordinary server logs for security and reliability.
• If you email hello@destinaview.com, we receive your email address and what you write, and we use it to reply.

Other services the app contacts

Some features load things from other companies. When you use them, those companies receive the information needed to answer, such as your IP address and the request, and handle it under their own policies.

• Fonts: Google Fonts, to show the app's typefaces.
• Maps and place search: OpenStreetMap map tiles, and the Photon and Nominatim search services. They receive the places you search for and the map areas you view.
• Weather: Open-Meteo receives the location of a place you ask the weather for.
• Currency: Frankfurter and ExchangeRate-API provide exchange rates. They receive the request for rates, not your trip.
• Export and import tools: the code that makes PDF and Excel files, and reads PDF files, is loaded from public code libraries (jsDelivr, unpkg and cdnjs). Your files are made and read on your device.
• Links out: buttons such as "Open in Maps" open Google Maps in a new page only when you tap them.

Sharing

We don't sell your information, and we don't have your trips to share. A PDF, Excel or backup file you create is yours; whoever you send it to can read it.

Children

The app is a general travel tool and is not directed at children under 13.

Changes

If the app starts to collect or store more, for example by adding accounts or payments, we will update this page first and say what changed.
